For $5 a six-pack why would you buy Bud?

Wernesgruner Pilsner (Reply to this comment)

I thought I would give this a try since I like variety and the reviews were good. This is nasty stuff, I don't believe it is even beer. I have sampled beer in Europe, Japan, Canada, and the U.S.A. I have even brewed my own, so I know what beer is supposed to taste like. I just wasted $4.99 because I won't be drinking any more of what's left. Spend $2.00 more per 6 pack and get something that you can enjoy.

Wernesgruner from Aldi's (Reply to this comment)

After reading some reviews I went to our local Aldi's store to sample some of the inexpensive (cheap)imported beer. I quickly found the Wernesgruner for $4.99 a six pack. I've sampled beers from all over Europe, the USA and Japan. Even made my own a few times. I have to say this beer is the, I don't think it is beer, most vial tasting liquid I have ever passed through my lips. I'm still not sure what it tasted like. Somewhere between a old sock and a tire. I was admiring Aldi's prices on some other items while I was there but if the rest of it tastes like this beer then it's money down the drain. Anyone who promotes this beer definitely works for one of these two companies.

I've not done any international travelling for some time now, but I've always liked to sample a national beer where ever I've gone.

I must admit, however sheepishly, that those national beers seem to taste like water in comparison to my Red Stripe .

No doubt times have changed, whereas, I cannot speak for the Wernesgruner Pilsner , Heinekien is one beer that is available locally, and it no longer tastes like water.

Cheers to a good beer!
