If you live in Pensacola, you may want to think twice about going with Sprint for your cell phone service. Their "customer service", is not. I've been fighting with my phone since I got it a year and a half ago. Been into the store several times. Been on the phone with tech support even more often. Yet, inexplicably, the store manager says he only has record of one complaint and starts to argue and treat us like liars, trying to get something for nothing.
All I want is to be able to make phone calls and have the them understood by the person I am calling. I thought that's what I'm paying for.
So, I finally left the store with NO intention of ever renewing my contract with Sprint. I even started calculating if it would be worth buying out of the contract. But when I got home, I decided to call the corporate Customer Service number, who - guess what. Had a long list of ALL the times I have physically brought the phone into the store to have it looked at AND an even longer list of the times I called tech support. Go figure.
Within five minutes the nice lady on the phone had reviewed my contract and offered to send me a new phone, FREE of charge. Get this - it's covered by the manufacturer warranty. Do you think the store manager even considered that? Not. But he did say we could purchase one of their used pieces of junk to use for $179.
I don't know about other store managers' attitude toward customer retention, but if you're here in Pensacola, don't expect to be treated like a valued customer by the manager. I guess some people just don't understand the meaning of customer service or the net worth of a repeat customer. Too bad for Sprint. I hope they are reading.
Even though the company has fixed the situation, if we stay with Sprint we are stuck having to deal with the Pensacola Store because it's the only one in town who offers mechanical support. That may end up being the clincher. Before I renew my contract, I'll check back to see if this guy is still the manager - then I will decide.
P.S. Their are several customer service reps that are very pleasant and helpful in the Pensacola store.
