Yes these are terrific and it boggles the mind that some of these were made in the 1960s! Of course there are tons more not mentioned here such as Femme Fatale, Tipping The Velvet, as well as lesbian love scenes in non-English movies, many that surpass English language ones. You can see lots of them at http://videoblush.com

Re: Top Lesbian Movie scenes (Reply to this comment)

Thanks for the comments.
L Word is a cable t.v. series. I don't get Showtime and haven't rented the DVDs and I don't write about things I'm not familiar with.
The other t.v. movie you mentioned I haven't seen either.
Sounds like you might tackle an essay about Lesbian Scenes on T.V. and Cable!!!!
Thanks for the feedback and reading.
Keep writing.

Top Lesbian Movie scenes (Reply to this comment)
by mofole
Great list but there are some omissions
1. The L word. Just about every episode of this incredibly good series contains scenes that just blow you away
2. A girl thing. Made for tv. drama set in New York city. This is where you see the body, Elle Macpherson and Kate Capshaw together as a very convincing couple

a book right now that is all about lesbians and how they are portrayed in movies/media etc. Some of these movie titles are discussed at length in the book.
Neat!
This is a great top 10 list!

...that I've actually seen one of these films (Wild Things), and in its unedited format. Hey, it was late at night and the ex had cable that summer.

This may inspire me to write a review I've been contemplating: "10 fun gay (male-male) soft-core films for women" since yes, getting rid of the uninteresting gender definitely improves erotic scenes.

Canadian director Léa Pool's Lost and Delirious should be added. Perhaps Frida, too. But you covered quite a few bases...

Aimee and Jaguar is a bit somber than most of the ones on this list--but I'm glad you reminded me of it.
Thanks for the comments.
George, you've simply not watched ALL the movies yet.. that's all.

that I think your list will generate a large number of outside hits? I would discuss more, but I have to go to Netflix to rent Henry and June, I love Uma Thurman!
