The Bottom Line JeffersPet.com Slogan, "Your One Stop Pet Shop" pretty well sums it up. If you don't mind paying the high service charge, I would recommend you check it out.

I was looking for a very special gift for a friend's little Shih Tzu when I came across the Jeffers Pet Store Online. How I lucked out that Epinions actually had this online store in their pet store category, I'll never know! But I am very glad they do.
The special gift I was looking for was a t-shirt with the flag on it, and I found it in the dog section at JeffersPet.com. But not til I had checked out some of the other pets online stores. I had checked at Allpet.com, pettails.com, and dogdaycafe.com. The latter being the place I get my little Shih Tzu, Bitsey, her Charlee Bear treats.
When you log into Jeffers Pet.com you are on the main website page which is the Pets section of the store. It is very easy to navigate. At the top of the page are the links to the Equine, Livestock, and Health Stores. A Bargains area and the Scratching Post, Doghouse, Wild Side, Ferret Central, and Bird Talk. I will take you to these in a moment.
For now I want to explore the Pets Section, where I found the Flag Pride T-Shirt that I bought.
At the left of the web page is the Sign In, Your Account, Order History, Customer Service, and Community Area links.
Under Customer Service is Shopping Help, Request Catalog, and F.A.Q's
Under Community Area are Articles & Tips, Discussion Forums, Event Calendar and Product Information.
There is a Search box and under this is the Product Categories. The Categories in the Pet Section range from Allergy Relief Care to Cat and Dog Food, Treats and Zoo & Bird . . . .Zoo & Bird?
Actually this is Bird Food and Mites and Lice protectors for Birds! (Don't know why they have ' Zoo'. Maybe to get a curious person like myself to check it out! lol)
I checked out the Treats Section first. I was hoping that they carried my Bitsey's Charlee Bears. No such luck. But I decided to buy a Banana Fruit Bone for her. The petite size cost $1.12.
The Dog Clothing Section has a good selection of sweaters, t-shirts, vests, and rain coats for dogs.
With the Banana Fruit Bone @ $1.12, the Flag Pride T-Shirt @ $11.23, and the $5.95 service charge they tacked on, the total cost of my purchases was a whopping $18.30.
I did think the $5.95 Service Charge was too high. But not any higher than a lot of other shopping sites charge. One reason why I don't buy from catalogs or online very often.
Setting up my account didn't take any time at all and the form was easy to fill out. I received an email confirming my purchases and another one letting me know that they had been sent.
I ordered these on November 18th and received them via postal service on November 22nd.
I also ordered (at the same time) Bitsey's Charlee Bears from the dogdaycafe.com and received them on November 23rd. Even though Jeffers was 1 day quicker in delivery, Dog Day Cafe only charged me $3.95 for 4 - 17oz. packages of Charlee Bears as compared to Jeffers $5.95 for a t-shirt and banana bone that weighed a lot less.
All in all I was well pleased with my purchases from Jeffers.
I didn't have to use customer service, so I can't tell you how good/bad it is.
The Scratching Post:
Has all the products for your Purrry friends. From Cat Food to toys and clothing.
The Wild Side:
Have a Iguana, Gerbil, or fish? This is the section for you.
Ferret Central has a lot to offer for your pet Ferret. From Cloths to Toys and Cage cleaners
you should be able to find what you need here.
Bird Talk doesn't have very many items for your bird. I was a little surprised at this. With all the other sections having a variety of items to choose from, I would have assumed that they would offer more items for birds. (there are more bird items to be found at the Zoo & Bird category on the left side of the web page)
For you horse lovers:
The Equine section has a nice selection of vaccines, tack, and equine supplies which includes Austrailian , English, and Western tack and apparel.
Have Livestock? Jeffers has Cattle, Dairy Cattle, Swine, Sheep, Goat, Poultry, Rabbit, and Llamas supplies.
The Health Section is not for animals, but for humans. It is called Science of Living. If interested you can check it out at scienceofliving.com
I would recommend that you check out Jeffers. Their website is easy to navigate and they are certainly prompt when it comes to filling and shipping orders.
If they stocked the Charlee Bears, I would agree with their slogan that JeffersPet.com is Your One Stop Pet Shop!
Ah, well, I guess a person can't have everything! ;-)
You can oder on line or from their catalog (they send you one with your first order) by phone.
800-533-3377 Ext. 419
using your credit card or by snail mail if you pay by personal check.
Jeffers is located at 310 W. Saunders Rd.,
P.O. Box 100, Dothan, AL 36302.
I hope my review of JeffersPet.com has helped you to make an informed decision.
