EOS 2000 PASO ROBLES ESTATE BOTTLED PETITE SIRAH: MAY EVOKE AMOROUS MEMORIES OF YOUTH
by sweetpaulie | Jun 12 '06
Drinkable bottle of wine that is a bit over-priced. Makes old men remember days gone by, no complaints about the memories.

Your observations on American wines are more true than not as many vines have been in the ground for less than 30 years. Some of the OLD VINE Zins have been good and worth the $$, particularly Amador County. GUENOC still has affordable Cabs from some of Lily Langtry's old stock, North Coast designate, that have been very good.

I was making fun of the emphasis placed on "old vines" and so forth with Euro wines, to command a premium on the wines produced. The difference an old grapevine makes compared to a younger one must be ridiculously small to all but a very, very few wine connoisseurs.

. . . ummmh, why not have a look at their website, if you have the time. They have won some awards that appear to be legit. Thanks for the comment.
Peace,

Just 10 years old. Seems like they're babies at this point. Or do US wineries not worry about that sort of thing?
