I can see I've got some more downloading to do. Funny how we can all be so different yet still the same. I'm glad this touched you. Here's to fewer codependent nights (or at least let them be more cathartic when they do happen). ;)

Whew... (Reply to this comment)

Just remembering my days of alone, dark room, drink in hand laying on floor with a mean case of "the spins" listening to my own list.
On my list a real tear jerker: I'll never smile again
Ruth Lowe wrote this song after the death of her husband. The pain in the words are so deep. Can be found by Billie Holiday, Vera Lynn, Cleo Laine and Frank Sinatra. The female versions are highly recommended. Words cannot describe.
Also for memory sake will take a listen to "My Favorite Year" I really like Cleo Laine's verson. Although six other artist remade it.
I'm happy to email either to you if you're interested. I like them alot, in a sad "I have issue's" way.
Ok enough ramble for one day. But as a child of an alcoholic who had major codependant issue's for years. This hit home with me.
Not to mention the flood of memories. Uhhh!
XOXO

Got it. Ripped it. It was on Just Say Yo, a Sire compilation disc from 1988. Email me if you want to know where I put it online.

Well, his mug still graces your profile pic, so this list is probably not a reaction to anything in your real life. So that's nice.
I have the k.d. lang version, not live if I'm not mistaken, on a compilation disc from the early 90s. I'll check tonight and if it's studio I'll, um, accidentally leave it somewhere that you can accidentally pick it up.

I am going to download that one and if I get enough comments, amend my list to include additions. I'm glad you liked the songs, and for the record, you are at the top of my drinking and typing list and very near the top of my drinking and dialing list.
At this age, I have to start worrying about waking the baby when on a D&D rampage. Unbelievable.

Drink and Dial me any time (Reply to this comment)

Great, great songs, Meagan. I'm going to put them all together in a single playlist for the next time I decide to break all the dishes in the house. Really, I am due for a new set.
My all time favorite codependant love song is Pulp's "Like a Friend", hands down. If you haven't heard it, it's your homework tonight. You'll like it.
