Pros: Cute story about Halloween

The Bottom Line: It's a great book for $2.96 at your local Wal-Mart, K-mart or Target. Your kids will love it for years!

I bought this book for my children for Halloween 2 years ago. They still love this book to this day. They are now 4 years old and 2 1/2.
The book is a story all about the things a family does on Halloween. In this book the Critters do many things, from going to the store to pick out everyone's costumes to going on a hay ride to find the perfect pumpkin for carving.
The Critters show how there are many costumes to choose from for Halloween but you have to find just the right one for you. I loved how they let the children know that some costumes may be to scary if you have younger siblings, so you might want to stay away from them. An incident in the book happens were Little Critter runs into someone wearing the same costume as him, but thankfully he doesn't make to big of a deal about it, which eased my 4 year olds fears.
The big hay ride the Critters go on in the book, was something my daughter could relate to as we do this every year. She went on and on about our hay ride and comparing it to that of the little Critter's. She thought it was nice that they compromised on which pumpkin to choose and how to decorate it.
All in all this is a great book to read for Halloween that doesn't talk about all the gory scary parts of Halloween.
