In which meeters and greeters eat too much, drink too much, and cause Norm McDonald to postpone the start of his comedy routine.

Amy, What a kick to finally meet you-much more attractive than your profile page shot-and thanks so much for the warm welcome.

The 2 M&G newbies didn't know exactly what to expect, but the friendliness and down to earth fun of the seasoned veterans helped make our day.
Plus it was nice to get my head out of the books and off the computer for just a bit!

Amy,

Enjoyed your review and Casey and I both enjoyed meeting you. We were the newbies and Casey was really hoping to get together with her Cybersis Pogomom Helen, but friendly people such as yourself, Mrsfitts, Mike, Steve, Garrett and Kris helped ease the pain.

cheers,

Richard

Ha! I wish!

I didn't get to nail Andy to the wall on anything this time. I'm just hoping they soon deliver on the what was discussed last time. (tick tock tick tock)

you would bring back a report that new books were going to be regularly added to the database! Guess you were distracted by the rum!

The next major eBay convention will be in Boston next June 14-16. Maybe you'll make it to that one. I know it's much easier (and cheaper) to travel up and down the eastern seaboard than it is to cross the country from side to side.

And what a nice group of people. Don't you find that most people at this tupe of party are pretty much the way they write, and are pretty much just who they say they are?

Yes, I'm an e-bay seller and occasional buyer..;)

I'd love to make to one of those but Vegas is really far from where I live, Miami...Though I used to go often (to Vegas) when we visited family out there, maybe even this September but there wont be anything going on then..:(..Oh well, I will keep an eye on the dates of future meetings.
Oh, looking forward to reading that review of yours..

Cheers

I do love good indy music, especially when there's a connection to one of the band mates. I will check them out!

The eBay thing was really good. The gala alone was worth the price of admission. If you do eBay, I recommend getting to one someday. Hopefully I'll be posting a writeup of that convention within a couple of days as well - it's just a matter of compressing 3 days into 1000 words or less. We'll see how well that works out...

Time for true confessions... I forgot you too until I saw your review. I think I talked longer with you than with some of the other members there so I was glad I noticed my error before posting.

And for what it's worth, you didn't really seem at all nervous or shy to me. Then again, I'm a queen of nervous and shy - I bet you wouldn't have guessed it. *shrug* Somehow we all manage to get through these things.

I forgot to include you in my review!!! I tried to look up your name Paranoid but of course I spelled it wrong! I enjoyed meeting you too!

Excuse me if I appeared a little goofy. I was nervous and shy.

Well come on down girly.

Or maybe if they do another mid-west or south-east M&G we'll see each other there.

Chicago is awesome. Plus my brother-in-law lives there. So one way or another I'm sure we'll visit the windy city again regardless of whether there's another M&G there. When we do, we'll let you know and we'll have lunch or something. (Hot Doug's anyone?)

Amy
(who will take this moment to plug her brother-in-law's awesome Chicgo based band, The Outlaw Family Band. If you like good indy music, they're worth checking out.)

Those sound good!

Sometimes cozy, intimate and familiar is the best. Hoping that the Meet and Greets find their way to Chicago sometime soon and that you and Andrew won't be too meeted and greeted out to come.
