If you want your site to stay up and your emails to be reliably received and sent, stay away from lunarpages.

Terrible support, terrible service.  Avoid if you can.

Here are a few examples of why you should avoid lunarpages: 

-They will put you on hold for 20 minutes at a time
-Most of the time the customer support rep you speak with on the phone will not be able to solve your problem.  They force you to submit a support ticket.  That would be great if they responded to the ticket in a timely fashion (within 48 hours)
-When your problem finally does get addressed, they will only solve one small part of it.  This forces you to call them again and re-explain the entire problem to a new customer service rep, which restarts the cycle.

In one instance, we wanted to disable some features of our account so we put in a request to have a technical rep contact us before any action was taken so we could confirm that only the features we wanted to disable would be removed.  So what happened?  Lunarpages disabled our whole account, which wiped out website content and our dns zone records.  When we asked them to restore the account including all data and dns zone files, they said it would not be a problem.  What did they do?  They did restore our account but not our dns zone file or email addresses.  Thankfully we had good backups!

We are in the process of migrating away from lunarpages.  What a glorious day that will be.
