I purchased a Weber natural gas grill. The experience with the website was fine. The price was great. I placed the order on July 3 and received an email that day confirming my order and informing me that orders typically ship in 3 to 5 business days. I was disappointed to receive an email 3 days later, on July 6, informing me that my grill was on backorder and it would be 3 to 5 more days before it would ship. I decided to chalk the delay in notifying me of the backorder status to the fact that it was during a holiday. But it was 7 more days...July 13...when I finally received an email confirming that the order had shipped. The next day, July 14, I received a phone call saying my grill would be delivered the following day, July 15, between 2:00 and 4:00. However, it did not arrive on the 15th nor did we receive a phone call. Finally, today, which is the 16th, we received a call from a UPS driver. He wanted us to ensure him that his tractor-trailer truck could make it into our neighborhood. We were shocked that they were delivering a simple grill in that manner, and that we were expected to assure him he could make it into our neighborhood, but my husband told the driver he thought it would be okay. However, the driver was obviously concerned about it and then asked my husband to meet the truck in the parking lot of the local Home Depot, which is over 5 miles from our home, to take delivery. My husband explained that we own a compact car but the driver said the grill would fit in the car. My husband, who works from home, agreed to meet him. After consulting with his employer, however, he decided not to take that much time off from his job, so he called the driver back and arranged to meet him at a closer point, about a mile from our home. Then...the icing on the cake...the grill would not fit in our car and the UPS driver ended up following my husband home and delivering it in the manner he should have in the first place. So, all in all, I must say that my experience with HomeEverything.com was very disappointing. They may feel that they aren't responsible for the way UPS Freight service handled the delivery, but I hold them responsible since they chose the shipping method, not me. In addition, they did not inform me that the grill would be delivered on a 18-wheeler.
