The Bottom Line I love this site for quick references on a variety of subjects in language even a dummy can understand.

I fully admit to being a dummy. I'm not ashamed of it. You're probably a dummy too...after all, why else would you read a review with this title. In fact, you and I are the best dummies there are because we're just smart enough to know when we're too dumb to do something on our own. And this site is perfect for us!
~*~Navigation~*~
Talk about an easy site to navigate! This one gets four thumbs up...uh, that would be my two and your two, once you've seen the site.
There aren't a lot of categories and sub-categories to navigate. The topics are listed on the home page, and you just click and go. Any Dummy can do it.
Once you get to your topic and read about it, there is a list of related topics that might interest you. Not a lot of clutter. Just the info you need.
Don't like what you're reading? Just use the back button. Want to move on to topics in other areas? You can use the buttons on the left of the screen.
~*~Areas covered by Dummies.com~*~
Technology This area has topics on networking Macs and PCs, buying a digital camera, troubleshooting Java script, and more.
Money This one's pretty neat. It has articles on calculating your net worth, writing a great resume, writing winning college essay, how to improve profitability in the small business world, et cetera.
Lifestyle This category includes reviews on cooking, baking, pets, home and garden, and heritage.
Health is all about...see you're not so dumb, you already guessed it didn't ya? it's all about health stuff, like HMO's, vaccinations, fitness, and nutrition.
Travel offers stuff about destinations, planning, languages, and travel updates.
Recreation Ah-ha! I can finally have someone explain that pesky five yard penalty in football without hearing that condescending tone! There are all kinds of articles here about outdoor sports, team sports, and recreational sports like tennis and golf. ( I think I'll read up about all that loving going on in tennis!)
The nice thing about all of these are written in the same easy on the mind style as the Dummies books.
~*~The Books~*~
Don't worry. If those little articles aren't enough to get you through your intellectual crisis, they sell the Dummies books here, too. What? You thought they were just giving out free information with no sales pressure to buy??? You're not that dumb!
You can buy all kinds of books for Dummies. Computer books, Sports books, Health books, Travel books...you get the picture? Diabetes for Dummies, Thyroid for Dummies, Personal Finance for Dummies, Bartending for Dummies, Mortgages for Dummies, Football for Dummies, Basketball for Dummies (Hey, I know a few referees who need that one!). The list is virtually endless! And you can even read sample chapters by just clicking on the book you want and clicking on sample chapter.
But that's not the best part! The best part is you can make your own book. That's right a customized Dummy book just for you. After all, who knows just how dumb you are, better than you. You can pick and choose the chapters you need in your book, choose to read it in Adobe, Rocket, or Microsoft Reader, or have it bound in print. Then just purchase it and voila! Your on Dummy book!
~*~Price~*~
The articles on the site of course are free. No membership fees or anything. If you want to purchase a book, the price is quite reasonable... around $15.95 for most if not all of the titles. I'm sorry to say that I don't know how much it costs to get a customized book. I suppose it depends on the amount of information you include and whether or not you want it in print.
~*~E-mail alerts~*~
You can even sign up to get Dummy tips in your e-mail...assuming you're smart enough to figure out how to get an e-mail address. You can sign up for e-mails in a variety of categories much like the ones aforementioned.
~*~Summary~*~
This site is quite nifty. It has lots of useful information that is easy to navigate and easy to read. You can buy and even make your own dummy book. What more could a dummy ask for?
