My Mom gets this catalog called "What On Earth". She keeps it in her bathroom for some leisurely reading. I happened to find the online store and it offers a much wider range than the catalog.
I am not going to give you all the ins and outs of this online store. It seems to be pretty smooth in it's access, and the ordering process was a breeze with 3 different shipping methods. I quite enjoyed the whole experience, but there was one thing that really stood out...
BOB... Yes... His name is BOB! I don't know why they have these items but I would seem to guess that someone who is high on the exec list in this company is named Bob. A whole line of t-shirt merchandise is dedicated to A Man Named Bob.
I will give you a couple of sayings that are presented here... "Robertology: The Study Of Bob" "Bob's Shirt" Bob's Wife" "Bob's Son" "I Gotta Be Bob" "Year Of The Bob"
The list goes on and on. It is hilarious! My step-dad's name is Bob so I (for obvious reasons) HAD to purchase a few of these items for his birthday. There was even an option for a gift bag (holiday or general) for only $3.50.
This is a company that sends out those magazines with all that cool stuff that you see on TV. They also have themes you can shop by. The only thing that is hard is that it doesn't automatically show the thumbnail pics of the items, only a list. The online store is quite a well rounded and eye pleasing site. Nothing too gaudy.
I have yet to see if my "Rushed" Delivery that I spent a little extra money on ($6.00) will actually be there in the 3 to 5 days that it promises. I don't know the quality of the T-Shirts either so there will be an update to this epinion when that happens.
Have fun checking out all the neat stuff. If anything it will give you new ideas on interesting gifts. If you happen to be one of the lucky ones who happen to know a "Bob" then this is the store to shop for birthday gifts for years to come... :-)
UPDATE...
The item arrived in 2 days!!! Wow that was pretty fast! It was definitely worth the extra money. The person I bought it for just put it next to his chair and shook it every day until his actual birthday.
The shirts were of really good quality. Good screen-printing! I paid extra to have it sent in a gift bag also. The first thing he said about the bag was "You gotta save this one. It will last forever!"
All in all I was quite impressed with these items. I am now in the process of creating a wish list on this site that I will be able to email to whomever I choose.
