I ordered the full "Million Dollar Baby", Da Vinci set (Crib, dresser, combo dresser, conversion rails, and changer top) at the beginning of April '09 from minitots.com. They offer many different types of baby furniture. When I ordered the set nothing was listed on back-order. I waited a week since it said it would take 3-5 days to arrive before sending an email. I got a response stating that half of the order was on back-order for 2-3 weeks and the other half for 2-4 weeks. My wife and I were expecting our first child 30 June so I figured we would be ok.
I spoke with "Rose" a couple of weeks later wondering about the 4 drawer dressers availability and was told it would ship that week. A week later it hadn't shipped so I spoke with "Lisa" and she said it would ship that week; a week later it was shipped. This was only after I sent them an email everyday and left a message everyday for over a week with no response. On May 11th, I received an email from Lisa stating "The crib is now available and will ship out to you before the end of the week". After many phone calls and emails, along with many messages left that were never returned (not one message was ever returned over 4 months), with many more promises that the crib would ship (Every week I was told the crib would ship that week) I received the crib exactly one month after the first email, 11 June.
Now this whole time I was also waiting for the combo dresser. I was finally told that it was still on back-order and would ship the 15th of June. (Remember, none of this was listed on back-order when I bought it, and I was told all of it would ship within 4 weeks. It is now over 2 months later and I just got the crib.) So I call the 16th of June and the dresser had not shipped. I was once again told every week that it would ship then I finally got it on July 10th. Of course a couple pieces were broken so I am waiting for the replacement parts that should be delivered on the 22nd of July.
So in summary we ordered our nursery furniture at the beginning of April so everything could be ready for the arrival of our child, we had a baby in July, and did not receive all of our nursery furniture until July 22nd, over three months after we ordered it. Do not ever ever order from this company!!!
PS- If you read the positive reviews for minitots.com on this site you will see they were obviously posted by people associated with minitots.com.
