I purchased the Redbarn 12" bully sticks for our dog - Cedar. This is the only chew stick that we allow her to have. When we got her several years ago from the rescue, the vet recommended against raw hide chews. Dogs will occasionally swallow the raw hides and require surgery to remove. The bully sticks solve this problem. They are fully digestible and offer a great chewing alternative.
You may think that all bully sticks are created equal -- not true! The Redbarn bully sticks don't stink like several other brands of bully sticks that we tried. While they cost more than the other brands, they certainly are worth it. Our dog (about 45 pounds) has one in the house and one in the truck -- great for the road. Anytime she is bored, she has access to a chew stick. In 3 years she hasn't chewed or damaged anything else in the house (so far... :-).
