The Bottom Line BestBuy is a great store for everyday electronics, but lack "high-end" product lines. Salespeople are NOT knowledgeable. And the "In-store pickup" option is a total waste of time!

In terms of product selection and price, I have to admit that BestBuy is one of the all time best electronics warehouse stores I've encountered. Their website, although somewhat cluttered and difficult to navigate, if full of product specifications, pictures and related product needs. But that's where my accolades end. As usual, salespeople are less than knowledgable. I suggest researching your product before hand, bypass any of the information they think they know and just asked them to "ring it up".
As for their "in-store pickup", this option is a total inconvience. After purchasing the product online at 11:30 AM, I received an order confirmation email at 11:52AM. Which, stated that I should be receiving another email "within a few hours" that would have the order confirmation number that I needed to bring with me to the store. I should have read the first email closer because I had gone to the store on my way home from work to find out that I could not pickup my product because I did not have a confirmation number.
Somewhat upset I went home to see if I had finally gotten this second email. I checked my email and after 6 HOURS from the receipt of the original email, no sign of the confirmation number. I called the main BestBuy customer service number to see what I could do. The representative stated that the stores have up to "24 hours" to send the confirmation email, and that I could either wait for the email or go to the store and try to see if they had one in stock purchase it and then cancel my original order. She was very curtious, but it still was no solution. So I just have to wait.
8:21 - Eight and a half hours from my first "order confirmation" email, I finally received the "confirmation number" email. Since the store closes at 9:00, that was useless.
The next day, I went once again after work, to BestBuy. I found myself, first waiting 10 minutes to even talk to a customer service rep, (NO LINE!!!) and then another 10-15 minutes for the item to be brought up to the service desk. The whole experience soured me on their "in-store pickup" option and would NOT suggest it to anyone. If the store is close enough, just go and see if they have you item in stock... otherwise, just order it online and have it delivered.
