B&H is THE best camera store in the world. Based in NYC, they've catered for years to professional photographers and have EVERY imaginable camera and accessory known to man. If you're in NY, you should stop in, think of a Best Buy with nothing but camera stuff. Imagine checkout lines like a grocery store.
B&H's website has improved dramatically in the last year and is now 100% up to snuff. While they don't always have the lowest prices, they're always competitive and don't hijack you with hidden charges.
On the downside, they cater to people who know what they want and topped by being truly New Yorkers, they want to do the business transaction and move on, so don't expect friendly farm land folks like at Land End.
Having said that, if there is a problem, they do make good on it and easily correspond via email. Being run by Orthodox Jews, they're closed on Saturday and different holidays than typically seen but wide open on Sundays.
