The Bottom Line: A Wonderful experience. Great rate and it's going to save us a lot of money; which was the whole point of refinancing. Extremely easy to do without leaving the house.

I refinanced our mortgage with Quicken Loans and am very satisfied. It was so simple (even with my little kids screaming in the background). We had just moved to the area and purchased our home 7 months prior. Rates were on the decline and I had never refinanced before, but the experience was very easy. I was just calling to get information; but we got such a great rate 4.375% on a 30yr fixed; that I ended up applying right on the spot to qualify for the fixed rate and I am glad we did it then because rates shot up again soon after we were locked in. I did everything over the phone, computer, and fax machine. When I needed to complete some paperwork, they would telephone me and also send me an email. When I logged onto my account, I could check the progress of our loan. They called to set up a closing time and I was very surprised with the flexibility. When we closed they sent someone to our house at 7pm so my husband didn't have to miss any work. The person that came to our house was a local woman who was a notary. She mentioned how much she loved Quicken Loans also, because all the paperwork was very professional and in a nice packet; whereas, some of the other companies she deals with have illegible copies (faxes of faxes) that appear cheap. We also got some nice pens to keep.
I would recommend it to anyone. It was just so unbelievable easy. I am a stay-at-home mom and I didn't have to drag the kids out to meet with a local banker (which is always lots of fun ;)
Our mortgage has since been sold to Chase and it is easy to do everything over the computer.
