I loved this movie, It gives you an eye into the world of Au pairs. The love conflicts throughout make the movie and I'd recommend it. The Nanny Diaries is a ten. Critics have only rated it a C, I disagree however by grading The Nanny Diaries as an A-. If you plan on buying it new in stores it's relatively expensive. (I'd wait until it goes on sale) This movie is a light comedy, meant to entertain. Scarlett Johanson does a great job as Annie, who takes a job as a full time nanny as an experiment for pshosiology. Mr. X is portrayed as the typical upper east side business man. Lives in a penthouse with wife and kids. Travels every week, while having numerous affairs. Even hits on his little boys nanny. What a SLEAZE. Mrs. X is the bust wife/mother more involved in shopping and social events than her own child's life. She hires out help to take her place in the home. Grayer the son barely ever sees his parents and loves his nannies and Au pairs like his family (only because it's probably all he knows) In the end of the movie Mrs. X shows a complete change in character when she (god forbid) eats out of the jar and apologizes to Annie for all of her mistakes. The movie was released in 2007. The acting was good. It was a cute movie with a sad theme and a satisfying conclusion.
