Unprofessional Customer Service, No Follow Through

I ordered a set of standard ear plugs and 2 ear bands for my son for an upcoming vacation. I placed the order on 08/04/2009 and selected expedited shipping. At no time during my checkout process or on the website did it mention that they were moving their shipping operations; however, in my confirmation email, it stated that they were and that they would resume shipping on 08/10/2009. I contacted the customer service group to advise them that I was not pleased to learn this information out after the fact (honestly, I would probably have selected another vendor if I had known that information ahead of time) but to proceed with the order anyhow; I also advised them that the link in my confirmation email was spelled incorrectly as I had replied using that link but got a rejection message. At that point, given the expedited shipping, I still should have received the goods in time for our vacation. I received a note apologizing for misspelled link and that they would cancel my order. I replied asking if my note was read because I noted to still proceed with my order. I received a reply stating "Wow, it's been crazy around here. I will be happy to reinstate your order. We will ship no later than August 10th."
Today is August 20th and I still have not received my order. So much for selecting the optional expedited shipping. I sent a note earlier today requesting a status and have not received a response.
The store has a great selection and fair prices. However, their customer service stinks.
