I began creating scrapbooks of my photographs more than ten years ago, and in that time have amassed quite a collection of books, tools, papers, stickers and all that goes with that hobby. For a while there was an independently-owned local scrapbook store in my area, but that has since closed down and while the two big chain crafting stores in my area often have a good selection of items, the Internet has proven to be a better way for me to find specific items at times. One of the websites that I have ordered from is Scrap Your Trip (www.scrapyourtrip.com).
Scrap Your Trip's website's inviting colors of pink, lavender and brown is easy to navigate. In the left column, you can choose to go directly to "Brand Spankin' New" items, "Custom", "Clearance", "Travel", "Wedding", "Sports", "Military", "Holidays", "More" or "Product Categories" items. Within some of those bold headings, you can choose more specific options such as "International", "Disney", "Casino", "Star Wars", "Michael Jackson", "Honeymoon", "Cheerleading" or even "Operation Iraqui/Enduring Freedom" items.
Clicking on any of the listed options will bring to you to the page (or pages) containing any stickers, die cuts or printed papers that the company offers which are related to that topic. If you choose not to browse through each category, there is a search box near the upper right hand corner where you can enter text describing what you are looking for.
My most recent order consisted of items that would coordinate with the theme of my daughter's Fifth Grade Social, which was "Hollywood" as well as some personalized items, and, as always, items that I found on sale. Scrap Your Trip has a large selection of scrapbook items that can be personalized. For example, I ordered a 12" x 12" scrapbook page which has a large red star on a black background, within which I had my daughter's name printed in gold above a gold picture of a movie camera, which looks like a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This page cost three dollars, which is more than I would normally spend on a single piece of paper, but for a once in a while, special page, it is worth the cost to me. For the same price, you can also get personalized Sorority/Fraternity pages, vacation pages, or a page that just repeats a name or phrase over and over again.
In addition to a variety of specific scrapbooking items, this website offers colored cardstock, idea books, adhesives, eyelets, brads, embellishments, punches, ribbon and just about anything a scrapbooker could ask for - including gift certificates if you are shopping for somebody and do not know what they need or want.
I have placed a number of orders from Scrap Your Trip and have never been disappointed. The products always arrive quickly, and are always packaged to minimize damage, even when my order contains just a few sheets of paper along with smaller, sturdier items. Each small item is in its own plastic envelope, and they are all put into a large plastic bag with the 12" square paper before being shipped in a cardboard mailer. My items have always arrived in perfect condition.
Each order has a personal "thank you" written on the invoice, and the entire website gives you a welcoming feeling and is updated regularly. Currently, there is free standard shipping on orders over $59, and they offer various quick shipping methods if you need your items in a rush. Scrap Your Trip accepts all major credit cards as well as PayPal.
Scrap Your Trip often has sales, and they always have a clearance section where you can get some good deals. Sign up for their email list and be kept up to date when they get new items or have a special available.
This is the first website that I visit when scrapping something out of the ordinary, or at least out of the ordinary for me. Whether your pictures are from a Nascar race, Mardis Gras, bull-riding, Geocatching, or from your last scrapbook crop, this website has it all. For the new or seasoned scrapbooker, or for the person who wants just one or two specific items for a special project, www.scrapyourtrip.com is the place to shop.
