There is no such thing as The Good Ol Days

Yes there are, and these are them.

Always were. Always will be.

It just takes us some time to realize that.

I Wear White Most Of The Time! (Reply to this comment)
by AinsleyJo
All four seasons, you can find me at my computer typing away wearing nothing but a pair of white underpants--and only wearing those to keep from catching an infection or something.

Yep! Have pizza for breakfast if you want or scrambled eggs and sausage at six in the evening!

Rules are meant to be broken--and so are paddles! LOL

Nope, one was never broken over me, but I got to sample the ones in every room from K-5, plus the ones belonging to two different principals: Where I went into town to go to kindergarten and at my grade school 1-8 (the principal's paddle met my leg two or three times when I was in fifth grade--because he would reach over and whack me with it while we were both seated during his one-way lecture to me...that is, one-way except for a two or three pitiful yelps!).

Write On!
AJ :-)

P.S. I actually believed in corporal punishment back then, but I don't these days.

Loved these life thoughts. I could hear you say each and everyone of them ;).

Selling 1 tourist photo for $20 is stupid when you could sell 20 of them for $10 each. You already printed the damn things... what the hell are these people thinking? That kind of mentality is partly to blame for the current problems in the world today...

I think I remember discussing this and as I'm remembering this, I also remember seeing my daughter's school pictures, already printed up and lovely. Wonder what they do with them when I don't purchase them all???

Sometimes its such a wasteful world, isn't it??

Making the world antiseptic is destroying our immune systems.

YES, YES, YES. THANK YOU!

On the other hand...

Live every day as if it were your last.

Ahh, but Rome wasn't built in a day.

I might have to enter this thing myself :D

I counted your rules. There are 40. So far, you are in the running for a VH.

Then you say that Monty Python rules. That means you are down to a SH or worse.

But you redeemed yourself by saying what I, a Southern CA resident, have tried to tell people for years. It really does rain here.

The fact that you posted this two and a half weeks early made me pause. But, in the end, the fun I had reading it made me give you a VH.

I think realizing that Teachers and Doctors are just people. Plain and simple. Is one lesson I've learned the hard way. Excepting this can save a person alot of headaches.

What a great list. I'm working on mine.

in order to heed another - I am going to be overly obsessed with outer appearances and buy a cane just to look cool. Any self-defense benefits are welcome.

learn life's important lessons the hard way. In fact, life is nothing but a continual ceaseless pattern of learning.

The hardest lesson I learned? If you throw a hammer in the air, it will come down (on your head if you don't move fast enough...obviously, my lesson learned was to MOVE), or maybe not to throw the hammer in the air??!!

You ask yourself WHY you threw the hammer in the air?

My "learning" hasn't taken me that far. :)

You white-jeans after Labor Day sassy lassie, you... This was a quite brilliant list-- possible worth pursuing (if you can pad the book with, oh I don't know, maybe boudoir shots) in print.

On one point: yes, the experts often negate themselves or others re: what is and is not healthful, but smoking is evil. Listen to them on that one, folks.

Happy trails-

As usual your perspicacity is well tuned, particulary with respect to your exception.

Once in a while, I am bloody brilliant.

HOWEVER, Beluga caviar is on of the world's greatest gifts to mankind. It ain't the coolth. It's awesome

Ewwww! Ick! and ummm Grody!

Ask me what my two other favorite flavors, nevermind, three others are; I just remembered how much I love Dom.

I tried champaign twice. Twice the bubbles made me lose my cookies immediately. As to the other two... hmmm...

Lobster and Artichokes. (well ok those are MY faves...)

The fourth you will never, ever guess. And it is really the top of my list.

Fried Bushies on a platter?

Bye, love,

Hint, the third one is also an expensive delicacy that swims in the sea, with it's scrumptious tail and waving its delicious claws.

The fourth you will never, ever guess. And it is really the top of my list.

Hey, Girl!!! Leave it to you to get my arse back here, commenting. It's only been something like a gazillion months or so since I did this.

Lordy, you really hit the nail on the head with these. And let me tell ya, hitting 50 was a heck of a lot better than even 40....before long I'll be able to belch out loud and rip a good one and folks will just say somethin' like "oh, it's ok...she's old now"... right?.... *smiling*

Hey, are you plannin' to be in Atlanta?
