Pros:Price, coverage/reception, sound quality.
Cons:Limited selection of phones.
The Bottom Line: Good so far... actually, nearly perfect. I don't agree with most of the reviews here.

I've had Cricket Wireless for about 2 weeks now... it's been fantastic thus far. It hasn't cut out once (honestly), and nobody has complained on the other end about the quality of the sound. Also, it sounds good on my end... and typically if there's a problem, it's the other person; some of my frequent contacts are in bad reception areas.

I know there are lots of bad reviews out there... but I wanted to offer the other side of the story for those interested. I just lost my job, and needed a cheap option, and my phone was from work, so I needed something quickly... and Cricket is well worth the $40/month (that's for the $45 with $5 off a month right off the bat - permanently!!!) Also, I don't have to start paying until next month - basically over a free month of service. Not bad. Didn't know this until I signed up, so it was a nice bonus.

The only problem that I had initially was the cheap/crappy selection of phones. Otherwise, I was stunned that the activation fee was only $25. I think it's about double that everywhere else.

For reference (regarding coverage), I live in northern Illinois, about 50 miles from Chicago.
