Pros: no fragrance of flavor, glides on smooth, tube lasts a long time
Cons: does not live up to claims, does not replenish real dry lips
The Bottom Line: This is an average lip balm that will help some with dry lips, but not real dry. Doesn't work well for year around use.

A good friend of mine turned me onto Mary Kay products a couple of years ago. Like with any brand there are a few things I like and others not so much. There are only two or three items that I tend to keep on hand of Mary Kay all of the time and one for Fall months.
The Mary Kay Satin Lips Lip Balm I keep on hand for the Fall months. Mary Kay Satin Lips Lip Balm comes in a .3 oz. white squeeze tube with light pink lid. It is a clear gel that has no fragrance to it or taste. The satin lips goes on smooth and feels great on my lips. This is the second step in the Satin Lips lip care system that you use after using the lip mask, but you can use the lip balm alone as well. This costs around the same amount as the mask which is $5.95 I do believe.
Mary Kay Claims that the lip balm moisturizes the lips for at least six hours, while providing an invisible barrier.
My experience with Mary Kay satin lips lip balm is mixed. I have used this after using the satin lips mask at night and it has done a good job of keeping my lips moisturized for the following day. However if my lips are really dry such as during the Winter months this does not do much to help replenish the moisture. I also do not care for this during the Summer months as I prefer to use something with an SPF in it. For the Fall months this works nicely though. It helps keep a barrier on my lips against the wind which dries my lips out fairly fast. This does not last for any six hours or even close to it though. I have to use it every couple of hours and that is without even eating or drinking.
- Ingredients - petrolatum mineral oil, paraffin, beeswax, candelilla wax, hyrogenated soy glyceride, stearic acid, carnauba wax, propylparaben, butylparaben, tocopherol, ceramide 2, menthol, ritinyl palmitate, lanolin oil, oleyl erucate, aluminum hydroxide, tocopheryl acetate, red 7 lake
Though this does not work for me year around it does do a good job of creating a block for my lips against the wind that tends to dry my lips out during the Fall months. However I would go looking for something longer lasting for the harsh Winter months and something with an SPF for the Summer months.
