Expensive and Exhausting -I am spending hours on the zappos website (this is at least the 5th session of over 30 min) and do not see the brands, the selection, or for that matter, the value of Zappos. Yes, OK free shipping both ways, caring service (OK, I read the New Yorker profile. Four hour phone conversations with Zappos customer service because the customers are lonely? Pleeze. The CEO and his corporate culture sounds creepy, but since he's got at least 500 million dollars more than me, what do I know?). All I am trying to do is buy a pair of wide brown shoes. <p> I am very frustrated because I got a gift certificate to Zappos, so I keep going back and trying to spend it. I cannot find the brand names or selection that can be seen in (for example) a brick and mortar shop like The Walking Store or even DSW. Should not an online store offer more selection and sizes? And I do not see the discounts typical of online shopping. It looks like they are re-doing their website, but I find both the regular and beta version cumbersome to use. For example, when searching for shoes cannot select both W and WW widths. Disappointing website - Amazon is not great, but I hope they get integrated into their search. And I hope I can get to use my Zappos gift certificate at Amazon.
