The Bottom Line Use Orbitz if you want the lowest fare possible without all the searching for hours on the 'Net. It is easy to use and provides many different fare options.

Upon initial viewing of the Orbitz site, it appears very uncluttered and easy to use. On other travel sites, it sometimes difficult to find what you need with all the banner ads and different sections. Orbitz combats this with a very straightforward and elegant site.
Once your departure and arrival destinations and dates are entered, the search engine goes through all the fares available to it to find the best fare for you. The search results are returned in a grid that lists the number of connections on the left and the airlines on top with the boxes containing the fares. Everything from non-stops to 3+ connections are offered in order to get the lowest fare and list all available options to those who may want layovers on their trips to see a city.
Orbitz customer service is good as well. When you reserve a fare, an email is sent to you listing your flight plans, everything you need to bring, when to leave, the new security measures etc. This is one of the few sites I know that does this. It's a great service that should be used on other sites.
My only qualm with Orbitz is that the international fares are sometimes listed at two, even three times what the airline sites say. However, sometimes they are very low as well.
