Oooh, if you find it, I'd love to read it! Even though I've only seen a couple episodes of ER... Some of my friends were really into it in college but I was always stuck in the newspaper office when it was on so I kinda missed the boat. Anyway, interesting, isn't it, how attached we become to these fictional characters? After so much time, they start to feel like friends...

Reading this, I had a sudden flashback to a song my hubby and I wrote back several years ago when we were big ER-watchers. What finally made us give up on the show was when they killed off Lucy Knight. We actually wrote a song parody of "Starry, Starry Night" called (you guessed it!) "Lucy, Lucy Knight..." which ended "But we could have told you, Lucy, ER was never meant for one as beautiful as you."
I've got to go looking for that sometime. I'd completely forgotten it, but it was a whole lot of fun to write -- and very cathartic since we hated to see a character we liked so much killed off. I hope they'll spare the character you admire so much here!
