Items such as tossed rice, cake, bells, and tulle come to mind when most people think about weddings. Among other things, planning my own wedding has taught me that paper is another big "wedding item." We ended up needing specialty papers for our save-the-dates, programs, menus, and other do-it-yourself projects. LCI Paper Company is a great site for such items!

LCIPaper.com carries a large selection of stationery and specialty paper products. The site offers an enormous selection of do-it-yourself invitation kits, including the trendy pocket card invitations. There are options that fit any budget, style or color scheme. The site sells program and card kits, in addition to tons of specialty papers and envelopes. It's a great site for budget brides and anyone looking to find party stationery at a reasonable price.
The site allows customers to browse through most of the products on the site. The items are separated into logical categories, which make navigation pretty simple. In some cases I noticed products that were omitted from categories. For example, while browsing the vellum category, I noticed that 5x7" vellum sheets weren't shown, even though the site sells them. The search feature is very accurate and I used it to find the product I eventually purchased.
The product pages describe each item in great detail, including information such as paper/product sizes, materials, color, weight, and other attributes. For do-it-yourself kits, the contents are described in detail with links to optional kit components such as RSVP cards. I was quickly able to determine which papers were appropriate for my usage. Pictures are provided for each product, which can be enlarged to give customers a closer look. A link was provided to order product samples for a small fee. I chose not to do so, but may have considered paying for samples if I had been ordering invitations. Quantities and pricing are clearly indicated on each page, along with bulk pricing when available. Two minor details I missed from the product pages were expected shipping time and a link for similar products, but neither are necessities.
I experienced no errors or other issues while browsing LCIPaper.com using Internet Explorer or Firefox. The site was well designed and stable.
Order Experience
I arrived at LCIPaper.com after doing a Google search for printable vellum. I was making photo table numbers, which required me to print pictures on vellum which would be lit up by tea light candles from the interior of the display. I had found inexpensive 5x7" picture frames for the project and needed similarly sized vellum to avoid having to cut them myself. LCI Paper Company was one of few vendors that offered 5x7" vellum in several colors. I ordered from them because they were the most reasonably priced.
I purchased two 50-packs of 5x7" vellum overlay sheets in natural clear, expecting them to showcase the romantic glow of the candles behind them. Each pack was $11.50, resulting in a total of $28.98, including the $5.98 ground shipping. No tax was charged for my order, which was delivered to New York. The site accepts Google checkout in addition to four major credit cards. The checkout process was easy to follow and went smoothly. I received two email confirmations immediately upon placing the order and a shipping confirmation two days later. The items were received on time, three days later.
The vellum was perfect. It was exactly as described. The website had stated that the paper would work with inkjet printers and I had no problem printing the pictures on it. The color looked exactly as pictured, providing the perfect warm glow I had anticipated. I felt the project turned out well. Overall, I was very happy with the product and the price!
