Let me be honest I have never bought a baitcaster before. The reason is that I've used several from "Corsica" to "Penn" and the results were always the same. I'm sitting there trying to untangle a giant knot of 4# monofiliment; or should I say a 4# knot! At any rate I had the opportunity to try the "Abu Garcia 6600" and WOW what a difference. I did have a small back lash on the first and second cast, but nothing serious. Then a great day of Bass fishing at "castaic lake". I said the con's were that this reel was a little to sensitive because the fish didn't have a chance. You have to buy this reel.
