Yaoi Writers Indulge in Torrid Gay Romance. SENSITIVE PORNOGRAPH.

The Bottom Line: It's Gay Japanese Cartoon Porn. You either get it, or you don't.
Sensitive Pornograph (2004) By Ashika Sakura
Warning this Anime is a Yaoi Hentai. Anime are Japanese comics, animated. Yaoi is a genre involving romance between two men. Written for and by women, they range from sweet romances to quite steamy. And if they are steamy enough, they are called Hentai, which is Japanese for cartoon porn. This is the later. So, if that is not your cup of tea; well, you have been warned.
This short little anime contains two stories.
The first involves a pair of Mangaka (Graphic Novel artists), Yamada Seiji and Hanasaki Sono; Sono is one of those names like Ashley, Marion or Francis that works for either a girl or a boy. Everyone assumes Sono is a girl. And he is pretty enough to be one as well. When Seiji meets him, he has just turned in a new book, and the more experience man takes him out for a drink to celebrate. One thing leads to another, and they start a passionate affair, depicted in graphic detail on the screen. The older Sono is the Uke (passive partner or catcher) and the younger Seiji is the Seme (active partner or pitcher). Their relationship is very satisfying, until Seiji hears rumors that Sono is supposed to be a major s.l.u.t. When confronted about it, he does not deny it, speaking about the emptiness of his life, constantly attracting straight, unavailable men for brief encounters that can not last.
The story is very sweet, rather simple with just a splash of angst to make it more interesting. The main focus here is definitely on the sex. There is a lot of it, it is graphic and uncensored, and leaves nothing to the imagination. The anime is called Sensitive Pornograph, and that is what this is, pornography, one step removed by animation. But it is also sensitive, focusing on emotions and relationships.
The second story is about Ueno, a college student who earns money as a pet sitter. He has an appointment to tend to a rabbit named Aki. But when he lets himself into the apartment, he finds not a bunny, but a boy, handcuffed, bound and gagged in the closet. This is Aki, and he is someone's sex pet. Aki thinks at first this is just another one of his master's friends, but when Ueno is shocked, Aki figures out he is an innocent dupe. However, he knows how the game is played, and he begins to service Ueno for his master's voyeuristic pleasure. Imagine his surprise when Ueno not only accepts his attentions, but actively participates!
Nice, clean cut, giving, non-manipulative, Ueno is a revelation for Aki. There is only so much stimulation you can receive before you have done it all, and become jaded. But tenderness never gets old. It prompts Aki to break off his relationship with his master (calling him Mr. Hung Like a Hamster), for which he receives a rather thorough beating. (Not depicted)
Later, at college, Ueno is thinking about Aki, wondering how to get in touch with him, when who should sit down across from him but the bandaged up bunny boy! The story ends with the presumption that the two guys form a long term, and healthy, relationship.
This one is a bit kinkier than the first; Japanese women love a lot of angst and a little kink to scandalize them. But all in all, it is a tourist's exploration of the bondage scene. It is fully as graphic as the first, nothing left to the imagination.
Animated porn is kind of...well, funny at best, sad at worst. This one at least is well done and charming. I find that it is an interesting change of pace, and occasionally hilarious. I have also learned that one should be careful when asking their friends for DVDs that might not have been reviewed on Epinions before.
This review, like Aki's master is Lean-N-Mean at 666 words exactly. It is entered into the Sleeperless54 Lean-N-Mean Write Off.
