When I got hooked on Lars Own Ginger Snap Cookies I had to find a way to get them online because I was striking out finding them at local specialty stores. Touch of Europe was one of the few sites that carried them in different package sizes and didn't charge an arm and a leg for them. While the site sells a plethora of items, I have only ordered food based items and gifts from the site. I have ordered several times from the site and have to say that I am impressed so far; I wait until I have more than fifty dollars in merchandise for an order so I can qualify for free shipping so that really helps out with the bottom line cost of feeding my ginger snap addiction. If you fall under the fifty dollar level you can check the clearance sections for bargains. I have come across some great items like soy candles and feeding sets for kids so there is something for everyone. Touch of Europe carries a lot of interesting items but, in my opinion, this is a site that you use when shopping for others, not yourself. Why? They sell things that you wouldn't normally buy for yourself. I am not going to beat around the bush, some of the prices are over the top but some are real bargains so you really do need to know exactly what you are looking for before you go to the site. If you happen to be window shopping at Touch of Europe and come across something that you like, be sure to check prices at other sites and factor in the price of shipping and handling. The orders I have placed have all arrived within the time quoted in the email to me after order confirmation and in regards to the ginger snaps, they arrived in perfect shape with a minimal amount of allowable breakage. This is one of the few sites that carry the extremely adorable Jellycat plushies; I found a hedgehog and monkey for nine dollars each. As soon as I saw the monkey I knew I had to get it because it was almost identical to my Cheeky Monkey from Webkinz. I have added the URL's for these plushies so you can see what they look like and why they are almost a staple of my nieces and nephews wishlists for holidays and birthdays! These are things that are imported so be sure to read the description and any additional notes that the site may put up about shipping times. Since I have only ordered a limited number of things from the site I can't comment on how they do with shipping larger items or with dropshipping. They have a liberal return policy on most items but wearables and certain specialty items can not be returned. Make sure that you read the text information about items before you order them if you think that there is a chance that you will need to return them. the site accepts all major credit cards as well as PayPal; if you need to pay by another method contact customer service to make arrangements. There are side bar sections to help you find what you are looking for as well as the ability to shop by theme. The search engine gives good results but if you can't find anything that falls within your search parameters, call customer service as they do have items that are not listed at the website. When I have had to call customer service I didn't have any problems getting answers to questions and the calls were answered in a matter of minutes. The pages can take a little bit of time to load but that could be my connection; almost everything as the site has a detailed description and color photo but if you need more information, call customer service. Delivery time has never been more than ten days; my orders shipped FedEx Ground so I sort of knew that they weren't going to be arriving within a few days of ordering them. They do offer gift certificates but they are only redeemable online as they have no retail store. I suggest getting the $50.00 gift certificate so the person receiving it can get free shipping. There are a couple of items that have caught my eye at the site and I do plan on getting them within the next few months but so far my experience with this site has been great. I like the variety that they have and when I am feeling a little homesick I know that I can browse the site and see some familiar favorites. ================== ^V^ © 2009 Freak369 ^V^ ================== Waechtersbach Online Store Japanese Gifts Online Store Someone Special Online Store Shop Irish Online Store
