ClarkColor.com is a website where you can print your digital images or negatives as well as order a lot of personalized items and gifts, such as calendars, mugs, puzzles, pillows, rugs, bags, t-shirts, Christmas ornaments, etc. with your favorite pictures of the ones you love! I have been using ClarkColor.com for over a year now and pretty happy with it. Most of all I print digital pictures, but also I ordered a few gifts there and those were very special and unique! Ordering digital pictures After you sign up (very quick and easy process) or log in you can upload your digital pictures and order them. You upload your pictures to a new album (you will have to title it so the next time it will be easy to find the right album to order more pictures, look the slideshow or share them with your friends), or you can upload them to an existing album (if you are returning customer). I have a few albums, because every time I place an order I create a new album and give it a title - I think it's easier this way. Then you click "select photos" and a little window pops up where you choose from the menu of your computer which pictures you want to select. I would recommend to choose the pictures you want before going to ClarkColor.com and put them all into a separate folder and during your uploading process just "go" to that folder and select them all and click "Open", all the pictures will start uploading one by one automatically. If you don't want to do it this way you can open them one by one, but that will take longer. Also you can pick them holding CTRL and selecting the pictures one by one and then you click "Open" and all selected pictures will start uploading right away. The process of uploading pictures is easy, but time-consuming if you have a lot of pictures to upload and the main problem if you have 1000 pictures and want to order only 300, so here you are trying to decide which pictures are the best for your order. After the uploading process is over you can order the prints, share your pictures with friends or upload more pictures if you wish. Nice feature: it tells you how much will you spend for ordering the entire album and if you think you can afford more than that you simply click "upload more pictures". Usually 1 4x6 picture costs 8 cents, but there are promotional discounts and coupons and sometimes photo print costs only 6 cents! Good news - right now it is 6 cents / 4x6 picture (Code: SIXCTS, expires: 11/10/2009) vs. 19 cents at Wal-mart / Walgreens, 25 cents at Target. Usually you have to pay shipping costs unless you have a certain coupon when the shipping is free or discounted. Either way, it IS cheaper than anywhere else you can go. Just put the code at checkout, at the end. 5x7 prints cost $0.79, 8x10 - $2.99, wallet set of 4 costs $0.99, 8x10 collage print - $2.99, 11x14 - $6.49, 12x18 - $8.79, 16x20 - $11.89, 20x30 - $13.49. I ordered 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10 only, mostly 4x6. Here you can see all the pricing for photofinishing, gifts and shipping costs: http://www.clarkcolor.com/helppricingpopup/ You can choose glossy or matte paper. I prefer matte because I don't like fingerprints on the glossy pictures. Also you can choose a border for your prints if you like. You can develop and print negatives and send them rolls. They even pay for the shipping, although I never used this option. I print only digital pictures at ClarkColir.com. Gift shop I really like ClarkColor.com's gift shop. You can create a lot of personalized very unique items. Every year I create a calendar with the pictures of my baby of the last year so it's really great to look through them recalling how he looked like this month last year. I like "Picture Me Books" where your baby becomes a character! It's so cute! I love creating greeting cards, they are truly special and they turn out cheaper than Hallmark at Wal-mart! I was not crazy about the mouse pad though - it smelled like rubber or something, so I wouldn't recommend that one. The puzzle (our family picture) was cool and fun to put together. These are the things I ordered personally, but the list of gifts is huge and is growing! Look, you can order: personalized towels, blankets, dog collars, cutting boards, keepsake boxes, pet bowls, pillow cases, playing cards, teddy bears, scarves, aprons, baby bibs, key rings, necklaces, mugs, diaper bags, candy tins, clocks, magnets, books, Christmas ornaments and much more! The checkout process is very typical and easy. Just use your credit / debit card info. Allow for about 7-8 days for the standard shipping of your order since you place it and get the confirmation e-mail. The quality of the pictures is pretty good, I'm pleased. Especially for the price. However, if for some reason you are not satisfied with your order you can easily return it (or part of it). ClarkColor.com has a great return policy in case you are not satisfied with the results. What you need to do is to go to your account at ClarkColor.com and submit a form about your return / refund. You will have to put your order number, name, e-mail to contact you and the reason why you are returning. Also you can explain what is wrong, return the whole order or just 1 picture or a few pictures, you will have to specify weather you'd like to get these pictures reprinted or to get a refund. Within 1-2 business days you will get a respond with the link where you can print the pre-paid label in order to put it in an envelope, include the pictures (items) you would like to return and mail it. In about 10 days you will get your refund or reprints whatever you have chosen. I had to return a few pictures because I had an option to correct red eyes automatically and the system changed a few red spots (like red nails) thinking that were red eyes. I didn't even know that option was on, because I always fix red eyes by myself at Adobe Photoshop. I had to go to "my account" and disable that option to avoid such accidents. Of course, that was very seldom, less than 1% of the pictures I ordered and I got the full refund for all those pics. At the same time I find this option neat for people who don't correct red eyes prior ordering. Coupons and credits The coupons or promotional codes can be found right there at the site, you can see them whenever you log in. I always check them all before my order. If you sign up for promotional e-mails you will get all these special offers through your e-mail which is very helpful. I like to order my pictures (rather pictures of my baby) when I get a great promotional offer, it inspires me)) If you refer this site to a friend and your friend join ClarkColor.com you will receive 50 free 4x6 prints! They go as a credit to your account and you don't get charged for them during your next order (s). Also, if you sign up you get 20 free prints! They will be applied to your order at checkout. You still have to pay for the shipping of your order, though, but it's very reasonable. Customer service is good. I always got nice responses to all my e-mails. For more information: ClarkColor.com
