that you put this story in the writers corner, instead of on a review for the home depot itself. So many reviewers add this type of story into a review section and then forget what theyre actually talking about, and go off into a rave about horrible secratarys. lol. But anyways, Im rambling. Im going to go and finish reading your story, I got half through and just had to comment. ;)

Sorry you had to endure such ineptitude!
We have been remodeling our home, sections at a time, for one year now, and We are terribly disenchanted with their service as well, but Lowe's isn't much better, as they've messed up custom orders, grossly. HD and Lowe's are our only choices in this immediate area... so we go back and forth!

Glad you wrote this. We've also become disenchanted with The Home Depot and fortunately there's a Lowes not a half mile away. Guess who's getting our business now?

The Home Depot stores here in Northeast Ohio are the SAME way. Their installation services (carpeting, doors, etc.) are also equally as bad (we've used both). I'm sorry that you had to go through this and I'm glad you've decided to visit Lowe's and Menard's in the future instead. The only way to actually get your point across is to not give them your business. Thanks for sharing this ~

I think what happened to you and your husband is unacceptable, but I'm glad you wrote about what happened. Looks like Home Depot is yet another company that can't live up to it's motto: "You can do it. We can help" unless they are trying to help themselves in taking advantage of their shoppers.
