Pros: Simple interface, flexible editing, fairly good free server.
Cons: Too much advertising, FTP problems, has not changed for the better.

I have to agree. I use to be a Community Leader when it was just Geocities and since then I have deleted my page (and I have not set it up anywhere else either). I still talk to several people who use to have pages there also (some still do but are annoyed like you seem to be with the new "improvements").
