Captaind's "Short Short" storyW/O - Le CafeDec 19 '06 Write an essay on this topic.The Bottom Line Very droll. Mostly a play on words. Probably best when read out loud. “May I suggest the halibut?” the waiter asked. “I don’t do seafood,” the lady replied. “Halitosis.” “Quite,” the waiter sniffed. “We have a nice chicken—” The lady shook her head. “Childhood trauma. I can’t stand the thought.” “Beef?” “Boils. Family allergy, you know.” “Roast lamb?” “Rash. On my legs.” “Duck…venison…pork?” “Deplorable…vile…putrid!” “Pasta?” he said hopefully. “Pimples.” She sighed and put down the menu. “Do you have any celery?” “Certainly. Would there be anything else?” “That will have to do. I must say I rather expected more from your establishment.
