Orange Glo - don't use it!!!

Written: Nov 21 '09 (Updated Nov 21 '09)
Pros:None
Cons:Leaves dull grey residue.
Scratches easily.
Extremely difficult to remove.
Ruins floors.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend that people stay away from Orange Glo and tell all your friends not to use it.  I'm surprised that it is allowed to be sold in stores.

This stuff is the worst thing you can use on your floors. At first it looks nice and shiny, but as soon as you move a chair across the floor, you see scratches in the finish.   It leaves a waxy coating that dulls the finish, and everything that moves across the floor will leave scratches in the wax.  When you try to remove the Orange Glo from your floors, you will spend hours and hours scrubbing it off.  A floor cleaning professional quoted me $1.50 per square foot to strip it off my floors. Since I can't afford that, I have spent weeks trying to scrub it off with various cleaning products.  This stuff should be banned!!  When I contacted the Orange Glo customer service desk, they offered no help at all.  I was told that someone would call me back, and I never heard from them.  I suspect that they get lots of angry customer calls.  If you google Orange Glo residue you will find hundreds of other bad reviews and suggestions on how to remove it from ruined floors.  I had beautiful laminate floors until I used Orange Glo, and now I am just devastated at how horrible my floors look.
