When you mention Starbucks, what comes in your head? Love? Hate? Destroyers of neighborhoods, conquerors of coked up minds, defenders of yuppiedom? Well, if you love Starbucks, you love its dot com incarnate.
The design of the website is pretty good, and modern featuring an environmental friendly theme of earthly colors, and recycled paper background. The left navbar has links beckoning you to shop their merchandise, links to Starbucks jobs, and links to their sinister international syndicate of Starbucks Japan, and Switzerland (soon, Starbucks <<insert your country here>>).
Everything you find in the stores, you find online. There are coffee, chocolates, gifts, and the usual Starbucks brand stuff like coffee mugs. Prices for products purchased online are pretty much the same as what you purchase in stores except you pay extra for shipping, and local tax. On top of that, you have to wait for delivery, so why bother? Only if you want to send a gift to someone, or if you are fat cat loaded with cash, and cant even bother walking to the nearest Starbucks, or perhaps you are so coked up on caffeine that it doesnt matter what you do, Starbucks has you hooked for life, and a jolt is just a click away.
Checkout is simple, the checkout link is at the top navbar, next to the Microsoft.NET passport signin/out button. Shipping is explained when you click through the checkout links. Shipping starts at $5.85 for UPS standard, $8.80 for two day, and $16.30 for overnight, pretty steep, especially considering you can just walk to the nearest Starbucks?
And as for the return policy, there is nothing stated on the website.
For coffee lovers, check out Peet's Coffee and Tea. Hand roasted to order, freshness and satisfaction guaranteed.
