Wow! The Teen Trend Magazine Prom Showcase was SO cool! I went with a group of my friends to find stuff for prom and for my sister's Sweet Sixteen party. There were so many companies there-- it was awesome. As soon as we walked in, we were given a raffle ticket and a huge bag filled wil all sorts of free stuff. There was a mock-tini bar where I was able to get whatever non-alcoholic drinks I wanted. I got a virgin pina colada - YUM! We walked around for about an hour, listening to music by a DJ. There was a lot of cool stuff-- makeup, dresses, balloons, tuxedos, flowers... everything that we needed for prom. There was even a photographer taking pictures of everyone. Hunter Gomez, the cute kid from National Treasure, was the emcee of the event, and he came over to take pictures with us. Then, he autographed the magazines that we got in our goody bags because he was on the cover. When the fashion show started, we all took our seats. The dresses were so pretty! I definitely know what I'm going to buy. Hunter and Candice (the Editor of the magazine) hosted the event, which was cool. They kept picking numbers from a bag and giving out raffle prizes. I was stoked when I won a free pair of shoes of my choice!! In the middle of the fashion show, Shaun Barker sang his latest song. He was so good, and is so cute! I bought his CD before we left. After the second part of the fashion show (and even more prizes), Ashley Gomez performed her new song, which was really fun. She even got everyone dancing in the aisles! After the fashion show, we got some more free drinks and checked out the companies that we didn't see before. The photographer told us where we could see our pictures online. I found out that I could subscribe to the magazine at the registration table, so I did. It was a really awesome night. I hope they do it again!
