I ordered a gift card online for my niece and received an envelope in the mail yesterday with the receipt but no card. I called customer service (that's what they call it, anyway) and the young girl on the other end said she didn't know how to help me with that because she was tech support for the website. I asked if there was someone else I could speak with and she said she didn't know who, and maybe I should call back and make a different selection. I told her I pressed "2" because that was the only option for the website, which is where I placed my order. So I waited on hold for about 5 minutes, then she came back and said she was going transfer me to someone else because her computer froze (this was a tech support person?). I explained the situation to the next person who said she would inform their corporate offices, who would then issue me a new card. I asked for a reference number, but "we don't really do anything like a reference number or anything." I asked how this would be documented - would I receive an email or something? She said someone from corporate would be emailing me. I asked for her name, and sent an email to their website documenting the phone call. The whole experience was very low-budget and unprofessional. If this wasn't a gift I know my niece will truly love, I would have asked for a refund. Never again with these clowns.
