Theft, Amazon charged Unauthorized Debit card when I entered a Discover Card

I placed one order with my boyfriend using his Discover card. I entered the card information with my boyfriend's billing address and my address for shipping was checked off. I had my debit card previously saved as a default card for my convenience--why enter 16+ numbers all the time. I placed my order and it was divided into 8 billing transactions, as the shipping varied and I used Amazon Marketplace for some items. I never had a problem with this before on Amazon on PayPal or Sam's Club or other sites we use.
My order was then billed to my default debit account and eight deductions occurred. I did not authorize this card for this transaction! I was charged $30.00 for each transaction = $240.00 in overdraft fees. I did not authorize the use of the debit card and I did not have the funds in the account to cover this error they made. OUCH!!!
Amazon said, "Sorry" three times. After calling and faxing in a letter of explanation and my banking statement showing the lack of funds and the $240.00 in overdraft fees, Amazon said it was my problem. They purport to offer the opportunity to check the order before placing it. They DO NOT however offer the opportunity to make sure they billed it to the card I authorized...I guess am supposed to go on FAITH. I cannot after this experience! This is theft to me. How dare they choose my debit card over what I tender as payment!
I am still pursuing this by escalating this further within Amazon. I am disputing this further through my bank as I did not authorize the charges to my debit card. I consider this theft! I will also file with the Better Business Bureau as well. I will tell everyone I know of this awful experience and write everywhere I can until I have my money refunded!
