This site is more hassel than it's worth!

I first got introduced to this site when they advertised a promotion on the Bonnie Hunt show for a free personalized cover photo book to the first 25,000 people who ordered it. It was regular $39.95 + $8.99 shipping but was absolutely free with a coupon code provided on the show. All I could think was "What a great deal!"
I decided it would be a great gift for my father this Christmas. Later that night I was uploading pictures but the site kept freezing up. I would have to shut the window down and then start it back up. I thought maybe it was my laptop but the site worked fine on my husband's computer. All the pictures I wanted to use were on my laptop though so I stuck it out. Over and over again it would freeze up. It got to the point where the website was just going through the motions where it would let me think it was uploading my pictures only for them not to show up at all. So I decided to try again in the morning.
I came to the conclusion that there must have been a lot of traffic on the website that night and it gave most people problems. It worked okay...just okay...for me the next morning. After two hours I finally had the book done and ready to order. The code still worked and the book came to a total of $0.00. Awesome! Or so I thought.
The "masterpiece" can take up to three business days to be produced and should arrive 5-7 business days after. I ordered mine on November 24 with the site giving me an expected shipping date of November 28. I received an email on November 30th saying that my order has been delayed and they are trying to resolve the issue. The email included a contact number which I called and got tired of being on hold to speak to a representative.
I understand about companies getting a little over their head with promos and great deals. I also understand that it was a free item and did not cost me any out of pocket. That's not why I am so upset with this company. I am upset because they have launched another promotion today (December 1) that gives the first 20,000 people a free book, calendar, cards or a $25 credit towards another item. Why would a company who can not properly handle past promotional deals keep giving out more? It makes no sense to me. I ordered a calendar through this promotion in a last attempt for this company to remain in my good graces. I will keep you posted how it turns out.
*I received an email today (December 4th) stating that both had been shipped and scheduled to be here the 8th and 9th.
