Avoid these scam artists like the Bubonic Palgue!
I attempted to order a GPS Receiver from this gang of theives.
I was sent a transducer instead.
After at least 20 calls, over 2 days, I spoke with a "Sarah" at the "returns desk."
She insisted numerous times "I received what I ordered, it says so here on my screen."
Despite the fact, I have no boat, and have not owned one for 5 years, (As a result, I have NO NEED FOR A TRANSDUCER, but know exactly what they are and are used for.)I explained it was preposterous I would order such an item.
After going around in circles for about 5 minutes, Sarah, politely stated she would email a return code.
She did...I would be responsible for all shipping charges, and charged A 25% RESTOCKING FEE, IF, IN THE SOLE OPINION THE ITEM WAS RETURNED IN PERFECT CONDITION, WITH NO MARKINGS ON THE BOX ETC.
I was gouged already on shipping...Were I stupid enough to take advantage of this "offer" I would by the time I paid return shipping, "restocking fee" and not scammed again by their "sole opinion of product's(and cardbox) condition" I would have nearly $55 Dollars lost on this disgraceful trnasaction, and have NOTHING!
Instead, I am going to keep this thing, hang it on the wall with the invoice, and remind myself, and inform everyone I know, NEVER, EVER UNDER ANY CONDITIONS CONDUCT ANY BUSINESS WITH THESE CRIMINALS AGAIN!
I am also going to contact the Washington State Attorney General about the nefarious business practices of COMPUVEST!
The item cost about 85 bucks...I was charged
