The Bottom Line Be patient and work it well. I use several light coats and beatings but do what works best for you.

Use light Vaseline on every inch of the glove. I like the color it adds to a tan glove and it works magic to good leather. Tighten the fingers up by pulling the leather straps binding the finger tips. Tighten finger tips real tight then curve the finger tips inward by hand. This happens naturally when you tighten the tips up. Use a bat and pound the pocket hard till it forms. You can get a lot more force from a bat. Play catch. Bind and mattress like everyone suggests. I also never put my fingers where the are designed to go. If I can I loosen the pinky hole straps and try to put three fingers in the pinky and leave the index finger either in the next finger slot or outside the fingers all together. If you can't get three fingers into the pinky then get two into pinky and put the middle finger next to pinky and index outside. The idea is to get the fingers out of the way of the pocket. I hate having a ball hurt my index finger. More important than that is that with the fingers in a spread position you can really pinch a caught ball better and the pocket can form deeper. Give it a try.
