I placed an order with Cabelas back in march. Prior to placing my order I called and they said the item was in stock. So I placed an order only to find out the item is out of stock and had been for weeks. The put it on backorder. 9 months later still no merchandise. They changed the item number of the product I ordered and now offer it at a higher price under another item number. When I called to inquire this month why the item hasn't shipped they told me the item number I gave them comes back to a different product. The customer service agent said they would be happy to cancel my previous order and change my order to the new item number at 90.00 more. I don't think so. I guess they don't feel as though they should live up to contracts they enter into with their customers. I have talked to customer service and even corporate. All to no avail. Numerous phone calls to corporate get you their voicemail. Even when you talk to their executive assistant, she makes excuses, promises to get someone on the line and then sends you to voicemail again. Not a good way to treat people.
