(Now called Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino) This place was pretty great. Make sure to get a room in the beach tower, facing the water and pool. Not much of a view from the marina tower. Near lots of restaurants and shops but not so close that you hear people yapping. Nice walking trail around the grounds and on the island. The island was nice, we broke open coconuts that we found. Not crowded either(Mid-March). The island is near the airport, but it's not bad. You hear them takeoff, not land. However, if you're there on a peak travel day like Sunday, rent a car and go to Palm Beach or Dos Playa on the north side. The planes are taking off one after the other. Besides, it's Aruba; go exploring.
