Do you think they'll ever make a category for best "Indie" album/song? Hmmmm....
Anyway, I loved reading your predictions :)

....Best Metal Performance will go to Ministry I think, with Stone Sour a strong contender. If Slayer pulls it off, I will be surprised. I hope they don't win, but you never know.
I think Stone Sour should win.

Looks like the majority of people are picking Stone Sour, so I'll ride with you guys on this one. Thanks for the assistance!

I can't wait for the other categories. Like you, I'll be trudging through the show even if it goes 4 hours.

Best Metal Performance (Reply to this comment)

I know you invited your buddy Mike (netnut746) to help you out with this one, but Mike has been AOL lately, so I'll give it my best shot...
Nominees: "Redneck" (Lamb of God), "Colony of Birchmen" (Mastodon), "Lies, Lies, Lies" (Ministry), "Eyes of the Insane" (Slayer), "30/30-150" (Stone Sour)
Will Win: Stone Sour (F##k##gB##lS##t!)
Ministry should win with Mastodon very close behind...
Obviously, somebody wanted Stoned & Soured to win something, at least that's how it looks to me. They should have been nominated in the Rock category, period. Talk about a ridiculous entry...

I'm rooting for Mastodon in the metal category. As with In Flames last year, that was an album that really made me want to listen to metal.

I'll do the Country categories and add major categories that have country folks in in them.
Great read so far. And, I too, have no friggin' clue about Metal except I know Mastadon got/gets quite a bit of airplay here in Seattle on KISW.

Best Metal Performance... (Reply to this comment)

Easy... Slayer!!!
Just in name. Plus, Slayer is true metal!!!!
But if they give it to Stone Sour, Metal fans will be booing like they did with Jethro Tull nearly 20 years ago.
