Brilliant, hilarious write-up from start to finish. For reasons I cannot go into without divulging deep and dark marital secrets, my wife and I watched You've Got Mail-- certainly nowhere to be found on this fine list. But we also finished watching Short Cuts, which includes (in its last 30 minutes) a suicide, a head-bludgeoning murder passed off as earthquake fallout, phone sex in front of one's children, infidelity and drugs. You could call that double-header the Oreo cookie: a little darkness with your fluff.
