The Bottom Line I would advise making a purchase elsewhere unless you have an abundance of patience.

When is a bargain not a bargain? A short while ago I began shopping for a new Canon S110 digital camera. I managed to find a website operated by US1 Digital, which is located in Brooklyn, New York. The price was significantly less expensive than other retailers so I placed an order. This is where the problems began.
I have done some homework on this company since my purchase, and I will share with you some common themes:
1) A day or two after you fill out the credit card information form on the site, you will receive an email stating that the company is having difficulties processing your credit card, and that you must call them to resolve the problem.
2) Upon calling, you will be pressured to purchase extended warranties, and accessories that are greatly overpriced, presumably to make up for the lost profits on the original item you've purchased.
3) If you decline the accessories, they will tell you that the item is no longer available or is out of stock for at least three weeks.
I was finally able to speak with a customer service manager at US1, and I told them I would contact the Oregon Consumer Affairs office to report them. Two days later my order shipped. I have contacted two others who experienced similar problems. Additionally, be sure to ask whether the items are "grey market." These are products that are purchased overseas by US1 and are thus sold without warranties.
My experience was not at all pleasant, and given the opportunity again I would certainly make the purchase from a reputable seller.
