I just upgraded to XP on my dual boot machine previousy running Windows 2000 pro and Advanced server 2000,. All I did was upgrade from the professional OS to XP. It took quite a while to load, almost an hour and a half. But the wait was worth it. This is an absolutely incredible OS. Not only is the appearance and submenus nicer looking and easier to use by the catagory style view (which you can also change back to classic windows style if you like), but the performance is far greater.
I would not recommend using XP unless you are at leaset running a P2 300 equivalent or greater with a minimum of 128SD RAM.

As always the sooner you upgrade to XP the better for soon the driver list inbedded will be out of date and you will be driver hunting for your recent upgrades as with previous versions of Windows. All in all I was not expecting to find such a secure combination, and functional OS as with XP. I highly recommend checking this out!
