I found myself in need of a new stove and so I went shopping. After much consideration, I chose a self-cleaning, electric GE range.
This range worked well until one day after it's warranty ran out. At one year old, after running it's self-clean cycle, I noticed that the interior of the oven had cracked open.
I called GE and the customer rep very quickly said that it was simply not their problem and since I had not chosen to buy the extended warranty, I should take my complaints elsewhere. I was not rude or abusive to this woman, however, she was rude and abusive to me. I quickly asked to speak to her supervisor, who was even more rude.
Well, needless to say, I strongly advise that you think twice before buying a GE product. A company that treats their customers this way surely has the same attitude toward the quality of their products!
