I purchased the product through Amazon.com, but am quite impressed w/ my purchase with J&R. The first product I ordered was not in stock and was not expected to be in stock in the near future. I was worried that a replacement would not be delivered in time for Christmas, but Kevin assured me that it would. I ordered the replacement one week before Christmas and it was delivered 4 days later. Unfortunately, due to my own haste in ordering a comparable replacement, I ordered an external hard drive for a PC and not one compatible with a Mac. The product was exchanged at a local computer store for a comparable make and capacity. My son, who the gift was purchased for, has been very happy with it and has been able to free up a lot of space on his Mac. As a student, this has been a great tool for him.
My only critique is this – when I first got the e-mail informing me that the product was not in stock, I was not given an option to substitute, nor was I told how long it might take to come in. A couple days later I received another e-mail telling me that the product would not be available at any time in the future and that I should consider another product. I wish I’d been told in the first e-mail that I should consider substituting the product and been given suggestions for substitutions.
